Fully Automatic Sterilization Tunnel for COVID-19 Response
Description:
This project involved the rapid design and implementation of a fully automatic sterilization tunnel to support public health efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. The system was developed for the University of Thi-Qar in collaboration with the Thi-Qar Health Directorate to help reduce surface contamination at building entrances and high-traffic areas.
The tunnel operates automatically, detecting individuals as they pass through and activating a controlled sterilization process without human intervention. The design emphasized safety, reliability, ease of deployment, and low cost, enabling quick installation in public facilities during an urgent health crisis.
This project demonstrates the application of engineering design and automation to deliver a practical, real-world solution under time-critical conditions.
